FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) Feedback

This survey is to better understand the availability, efficiency, and overall experience associated with FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) practical exams. Your feedback will help identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and inform data-driven decision-making related to pilot certification processes.

This survey is being conducted by the National Flight Training Association (NFTA) as part of the 14 CFR Part 141 Modernization effort, in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to gather industry input from applicants, flight instructors, and flight training organizations.

This survey is intended for individuals who have recently participated in or coordinated a practical exam, including applicants and flight school representatives.

Working to unify, promote, and strengthen America's Flight Training providers.

THIS IS OUR MOMENT

There is a critical demand for highly trained pilots. As Flight Training professionals, we not only have the knowledge and the ability to meet the demand, we also have a unique understanding of the obstacles the lie in our path. No one is better positioned to bring attention to those obstacles, and to identify and implement the solutions to the global pilot shortage. Working together, we can speak with one voice to elevate our industry, advocate for our needs, and build a network that helps us as we work to help our country, and the world. We hope you’ll join us.
