Joe Ryan

Joe Ryan is a seasoned professional in the aviation industry and currently serves on the leadership team at Wings Insurance, one of the nation’s largest aviation specialty insurance brokerages.

During the last 5 years, Joe has led initiatives to position Wings as the preferred broker for Cessna Pilot Centers and Cirrus Training Centers nationwide. Joe’s client-first initiatives have helped Wings maintain industry leading retention rates and he has been instrumental in identifying and leading the growth of new sales professionals at Wings. His leadership and technical expertise have earned him speaking invitations to national aviation events, podcasts, and owner/operator conferences where he addresses topics such as risk management, emergency response planning, and safety initiatives.

Before joining Wings, Joe worked as an airline and charter pilot and served as the Lead Flight Instructor for a Platinum Cirrus Center in Las Vegas. A graduate of the University of North Dakota’s Aerospace program, he holds ATP and CFII ratings with several thousand hours flown.

Known for his many brothers and sisters (9), loyal golden retriever (Ernie), love of golf, and pilot wife, Joe enjoys quiet days on the shore of Lake Superior and just about anything competitive.
